I never received any message stating it was complete. The meter went all the way as it had finished. It went through the process of updating the firmware. Tonight I plugged it in and it seemed to work. I click ok and receive the unplug and try again message. The first couple times I connected I received 2 errors.Ģ. I then installed it on a more recent desktop with faster usb connections. I ran the software on a laptop and was having problems connecting the device. I went ahead and programmed tire size and performance settings to 87 octane with no update. I have had some issues with the software. There's a definite issue here, and for those that choose to buy this programmer.I have an 06 Commander 4.7L Limited. How a computer flash would grenade a transmission without actually driving it confounds me too, but facts is facts. Wouldn't get out of limp home mode after.įor the skeptics, the "I had good luck" bit really isn't relevant here, other than I think you got lucky. It drove perfectly before plugging in the programmer. What I did was set the tire size then tried to load the 89 octane program. Problem with their theory is my gears are stock and I didn't mess with the setting. I contacted support again recently and the support tech replies -"if you set the gear ratio incorrectly it'll do that.(without answering my question, I might add)" so they know there's a problem with the product. After I finally got it home I still needed to change the tire size setting. I even have the tire size set correctly no thanks to Superchips. After the dealer's 4 attempts at rebuilding the original, and ultimately a new transmission later, I'm back on the road. I spent hours of my life wasted on Superchips "Support", finally they tell me that this isn't a issue they're going to solve and I should take it to the dealership. Save for a 8+ week trip to the dealership. Jeep in limp home mode and nothing can be done to reverse it. Its your vehicle you can do what you think best as for me I would stay away.Ĭall me the resurrector, but I've just got through the exactly same ordeal with my 2013 Rubicon. All that just to say "we have a working" 2014 JK programmer when in the end they did not and to this day do not have a working program. Which I consider that “STEALING” from them. Because it wasn't any good and they knew it, they were using me as a "test" they wanted my PCM program to further there sales. If it was "good" then why did they try to have me update it right after I got it from them? More BS from Superchip. SuperCrap did send me my PCM and "told me it was good" another BS line from them. When in fact it has happened to many others the same way. Easy to say to me you can’t prove it was us who did that. Even though everything worked fine until I plugged in the programmer. SuperCRAP! Did not want to give me any money for any of the repairs. It screwed mine up so bad it took a total replace. I read that it (FlashPac) does not change anything in the PCM. The dealer spent two weeks installing new PCM, Transmission, Reflash, twice completely went through the ECM, PCM and all the transmission modules. I would consider them to having no moral compass in fair business ethics.īottom line if you purchase it your the "SUCKER" they got your money. Just to stand behind there “claims” of having a product that works in the 2014 JK Rubicon Automatic. Which they have not even tried to resolve in a trustworthy manner, that any other company would do. So I replied to them with “you can fix my Jeep and I will sing you praises or you can ignore me in which case I will spent my time “trashing” your product until you come up with a solution to resolve this present situation.” I offered them a way out to “Fix” my jeep and they would not……. And they can’t reply because they don’t have an answer to the truth of what I and others are saying about there product. I believe that the “People” at SuperChips are reading all the stuff. By the way here is the rest of the story.
